A participant will be provided Global Ranking Points (in the same way with the Ranking Point Matrix highlighted in Section 8) based upon that person’s placement at Evolution, the Regional Open Tournaments, the Global Premier Events and the Regional Ranking Events. Players who have been given Global Ranking Points shall be ranked, on an official Global Ranking Point Leaderboard.

A player will be given Regional Ranking Points (in the same way with the Ranking Point Matrix outlined in Section 8) based upon that placement of the player at Regional Ranking Events & the Regional Open Tournament situated only within the designated region of the player. Players who have been given Regional Ranking Points shall be ranked, from most points to least, on their provided region’s Regional Ranking Point Leaderboard. The top 8 placements from each region’s Regional Ranking Point Leaderboard shall be calculated after each Regional Open Tournament of a region has been finished, & each will be provided a qualification spot for that region’s Regional Final Tournament.

In Regard to the Regional Finals, any player of any region can clash in the Regional Open Tournament (took place on the 1st day of the Regional Finals), but a player shall not be eligible to clash in a Regional Final Tournament (took place on the 2nd day of the Regional Finals) took place outside the region where the player has his/her primary residence. As mentioned above, there are 4 total regions, each with their own Regional Ranking Point Leaderboard: (i) North America, (ii)Europe, (iii) LATAM, and (iv) Asia.

A player’s nominated region will be decided by the location of their primary residence at the starting of the Capcom Pro Tour. A player will be considered eligible to receive Regional Ranking Points only by clashing in Regional Ranking Events and/or the Regional Open Tournament situated within that player’s designated region. For clarity, players are free to clash in Regional Ranking Events & Regional Open Tournaments outside of their nominated region, but they’ll be eligible to receive only Global Ranking Points and not Regional Ranking Points.

All players who have not qualified for the Capcom Cup, either by winning the preceding year’s Capcom Cup, by completing in the top 26 placements (subject to alteration pursuant to the Official Rules) on the Global Ranking Point Leaderboard, or by winning 1 of 4 Regional Finals Tournament (subject to alteration pursuant to the Official Rules) shall be eligible to play for the concluding eligibility spot by competing in the Capcom Cup Last Chance Qualifier.

Players will not be eligible to win multiple qualification spots for the Capcom Cup 2023. For instance, the defending champion is automatically passed for the Capcom Cup, & will not be eligible to obtain a qualifying spot through completing in the top twenty-six (26) placements on the Global Ranking Point Leaderboard. Similarly, any players who have already qualified for the Capcom Cup by finishing in the top twenty-six placements (subject to adjustment pursuant to these Official Rules) on the Global Ranking Point Leaderboard, will not be eligible to compete for a qualification spot in the Capcom Cup Last Chance Qualifier.
