GAMSAT Registration 2024 Application Eligibility Dates Centers (Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test) was introduced to the UK (United Kingdom) by St George`s Hospital Medical School in 1999. GAMSAT is now also used by Cardiff, Nottingham, Swansea, Liverpool, Exeter and Plymouth medical schools. Graduate applicants applying to 5-year courses at the two latter schools are required to appear in the exam.

Plymouth is unique as it offered the UK’s first graduate entry program for dentistry, for which the exam is part of the admissions criteria. The exam was initially pioneered and used in Australia in 1996 by 4 medical schools offering graduate-entry courses. The role of the GAMSAT Exam is to assist in the selection criteria primarily for candidates who are applying to study medicine on the new fast-track graduate-entry courses.
Eligibility GAMSAT Registration 2024:
- GAMSAT is available to any candidate who has done a Bachelor’s or a UG honors degree, or the one who will be enrolled in their penultimate (second-last) or final year of study, at the time of appearing in the test.
- In the case of applicants to the University of Exeter Medical School & Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine & Dentistry, the exam is available to the candidates who believe they have achieved an appropriate level of intellectual maturity and subject knowledge to meet the demands of the exam.
- The GAMSAT test is held twice a year, in March and September.
- A candidate must be a bona fide prospective student of a course for which GAMSAT is a prerequisite to appear in the GAMSAT Exam 2024.
- There is no limit to the number of times a bonafide candidate may appear in GAMSAT.
- Students whose first degree is in a non-scientific field of study can still appear for the GAMSAT exam.
- Institutions encourage applications from those candidates who have achieved academic excellence in the humanities & social sciences.

Key dates for GAMSAT Registration 2024:
- The exam takes place twice yearly – March and September – in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
- The results of this exam have a validity of two years.
- The exam of GAMSAT will be held on Wednesday, September 2024.
- Registrations online will take place in – mid-May 2024.

GAMSAT Registration 2024 March Sitting Fees & Test Centres details:
- The GAMSAT exam will be held in March 2024.
- The fee to sit GAMSAT is $505 (including GST) in Australia, €335 in Ireland, or £262 in the UK.
- Registrations will close at 10 am Greenwich Mean Time or 9 pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time in February 2024.
- The late registration deadline is at 10 am GMT or 9 pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time in February 2024.Â
- An additional late fee of $100 in Australia, £60 in the UK, or €70 in Ireland applies for late registrations.
- Payment must be submitted online via credit card.
- Applicants will receive a payment confirmation/tax invoice by email once the payment transaction is finished.
- The credit card statement may list ACER as the recipient, and a specific reference to GAMSAT may not be mentioned.
